Has anyone got any pointers (not as in dogs)
I'm looking into getting a stainless steel exhaust system for my z4coupe, I've had one before on an 840ci sport and that sounded great but I'm not sure if I'm going to get the same result on a straight six, so I'm wondering if anyone on this font of knowledge can give me an idea as to it being a yes or no,?

I recently fitted a great PowerFlow one. My local place was able to let me hear loads of different outputs so I could choose the closest to what I was looking for.
That route will allow you most options. I'm sure there's plenty of other suppliers that can do the same

Well I'm told the original system is stainless anyway, but a previous owner of mine had a custom system built by these people:- https://solid-fabrications.com/
It certainly sounds a bit better than my previous E86, slightly louder when you give it the beans and a few more pops and bangs! But it isn't any louder when you settle at a cruise so I'm very pleased with it - except I've had to declare it as a modification, so insurance isn't straightforward.
Before I stumbled across the earlier owner, I did ask my Indy to see if there were any labels or markings on it when he serviced the car. He told me there were none, but did say it looked like a well made system. The back box is definitely much smaller than standard.
Sorry I can't help on costs though.

Probably little use to you OP as its 200 miles from MiltonKeynes but for comparison my son recently had a bespoke stainless steel catback system designed , constructed & fitted with twin tips for under £300 at Zaustworx Darwen Lancashire sounds quality & looks quality .
Its a mod i'm interested in & currently have a rear Si bumper in the bodyshop being converted to twin outlet then i will be heading over to see him with my Si coupe . As yet unsure whether it will be a system or simply rear conversion

Correct mark, they have done an amazing job and would defo recommend them!
EMP performance based in St Albans, I believe they also do work for the BTCC cars aswell so their pedigree is pretty high....

maybe not quite as that pic but i'm swerving along those lines as you rightly point out quads on Bmw's are M spec & i'm not interested in mimicking that , id buy a Z///M if i wanted quads
