I know... Initial signs are OK though as I don't drive it any harder than my Z4 80% of the time and I've got it setup with much less toe in than they normally have. I'm using up the Yokohama Advans first which are quite grippy in the dry but poor in the wet and only 240 treadwear rating. Then it will be PS4S in 245/265 rather than the stock 235/255.

Many people will be happy with a bit less tyre performance as most of the time you don't need it. However, that extra few metres of stopping distance or swerve in a corner unexpectedly I'd rather have more grip to call on. In normal driving the feedback and subjective feel of the tyre is also better with those like the PS4 or PS4S.

I haven't tried the PS4S yet but as it's just a better version of the PS4 I know I won't be disappointed. When I went from F1 AS2 to F1 AS3 that felt like a backwards step despite claims by Goodyear that it's better.

Even across the rears...

I run them at 40 psi, maybe different for the estate.I think if your steady and don't have a soft tyre on you can get 9-10k out of them, dont hear many beyond that.

There was a guy on the AMG forum that was fitting new rears every 1500 miles...Driving like a loon of course but tried every make out there as he was doing 3k a month..

Had shortlisted the PS4s alongside Continental Premiums and Eagle F1s. On paper they all look fairly similar except the F1s are poorly rated for fuel economy - not my first consideration
Get the PS4s mate. Well worth the dollar.
Decision made :D
Now: 2004 Z4 3.0i - Merlot Red

Just PS 4s but got a feeling they'll be good enough for my lack of talents.....
Looking forward to getting them as got Bridgestone runflats on at the moment and don't think my back can take much more..
Got some Davanti on the wife's Golf GTTDI and are relay impressed by them...Nice and soft and don't spin up when the torque and turbo kick in..remapped to 170 and the previous Pirelli P zero Nero were awful for spinning up...Don't think they will last long but at the price who cares..

I've had a set of PS4 installed at the weekend, and it's like a new car now. Much improved over the previous tyres, better ride, more feedback and quieter to boot, so pretty much the best tyres I've ever had on any car.

Good to know my money is going on the right choice....The reason I purchased is from the reviews on here with the Z4....Excellent advice yet again...

Fitted them on the rear of the F Type based upon recommendation of others on Jaguar forum
They are an astounding upgrade to OEM Pirelli’s
Even in colder weather the rear doesn’t squirm on hard acceleration, no skipping away from T junctions and LSD rarely if ever called on. Give much more confidence
Have fronts to do when they come in (20’s) so being careful at the moment
At a £1000+ a set they are a big spend, but worth it
Jaguar F-Type 3.0 Supercharged V6 S, Stratus Grey, LSD, Active Exhaust, CF wheels, Performance brakes, Sports seats and mods ongoing
Gone but not forgotten Z4 3.0i SE Roadster ///M front, Red ///M leather seats, Aero sills
