Wheel alignment

Post by Jamesw » Sat Feb 17, 2018 10:38 am

My car is a 3.0si coupe and I was thinking of getting a wheel alignment done but not sure if it’s necessary or advisable. I read that one company actually advises getting one done every 10,000 miles but this sounds like it might be overkill for normal road use and just over once a year with my mileage. I’m currently on 17’ winter alloys and will probably change back to summer 18’s in a month or so. Will this have any effect on the alignment if I get it done now? In the last few months the only things I’ve changed are rear coil springs to Suplex and the front lower suspension arm bushes. Bearing in mind I’ve done 30k miles in the car so know it hasn’t had an alignment done in that time would you say it’s worth getting it done for roughly £100? (Current mileage is 91k) Also if anyone can recommend anywhere in the Northamptonshire area that would be great, willing to travel a bit to get it done right though

I have one done ever 12 months, about 8-10k miles.

You will be surprised how far out they can get with them UK roads being to bad.

+1
In addition the fact that you've had the front bushes done is enough for you to need an alignment.
