107 recon, or 19" CSL rep and new tyres?
I'm in two minds about what to do.
Recon 107s for £££, or buy some new 19" CSL reps for £550 and F1 tyres for about £1000 all in.
I'd then recon my 107 slowly and cheaply and keep (long term), and recon my old 108s and fit tyres from 107s and sell on.
But before I do, can anyone recommend the change and any positive/negative issues?
I run OE suspension. Will it look too high?
Will the ride be super harsh on another profile lower tyres or will it be ok still?
I've not done the dimensions but I think most stick out more, will they rub at all?
Does anyone have any pics of a silver 3.0i on 19" staggered CSL reps?
What are good reps to get? M offsets and spacers or offsets for E46 non-M cars?
I'd guess M offset might be more valuable to sell on, but spacers aren't cheap.
Cheers
Dave

Care to share the specs Tyreman?
They look like nice reps, very accurate to actual CS/CSL wheels.
Also what tyres?
Did you go 235/35 and 265/30?
How did the ride/steering feel/weight change after the swap? I assume you were on 225/255 18s?

Bought from CM Wheels who are a forum sponsor on M3Cutters and delivered within a couple of days.
19x8.5 et38
19x9.5 et40
Colour is Hyper Silver
The tyres are 235/35R19 & 265/30R19 Goodyear Asymmetric 3, drives great at the moment but I'm undecided whether to lower it or not.

Cool thanks for the details!
Did CM Wheels fit the tyres for you too, or did you take them to a (very) trusted fitters?
I think I basically saw the same wheels and priced up the same tyres combo in F1 A3s!
Do you mind sharing your all in cost? I think I got to £1100 for everything with new BMW centrecaps.
The main concerns were ride vs 18s and possibly any improvement or worsening if steering weight/feel.
How have you found them so far?
I deffo don't want to lower as I've recently had all new springs and I know lowering will certainly worsen the ride.

I paid £480 for the wheels delivered and then sourced my own fitter, not an issue for me as I've always worked in the tyre industry.Mr Whippy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2018 6:00 pmCool thanks for the details!

Genuine BMW centre caps I already had a new set from my previous M3, I think they are about £25 a set of four.
I get my tyres heavily discounted as a perk of the job so it's not a fair comparison but websites like Tyreleader are a good call.
I don't think there is a massive deterioration in ride quality going from 18s to 19s if I'm honest but aesthetically I think it looks much better, but obviously that's purely my own opinion that others may not agree with.

OK I'm getting about £480 wheels given your price...
£520 tyres, then fitting and caps...
So yeah £1,100 ish.
I've seen a few pics of CSLs on silver Z4 roadsters but they're all lowered.
I think the wheels look better in person than in pics too, so it's hard to gauge.

I think the wheels look great when they're on, my car isn't lowered and if I make any changes it will only be to probably fit M height springs..........you could always go for 18" CSLs in a staggered fitment, it would be cheaper and remove any of your other worries ?
