Has anyone else had a problem whereby when I holding the car on the footbrake the engine revs rise about 200 or so rpms and if accelerated quite hard then come off the throttle it seems slow to return to normal revs, all the breather pipes were replaced, any idea's ??

It could be an air leak if the revs are slow to return, look at the inlet rubber around the small finger that branches off as they commonly split around there.JohnFZ4 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2018 7:08 pmHas anyone else had a problem whereby when I holding the car on the footbrake the engine revs rise about 200 or so rpms and if accelerated quite hard then come off the throttle it seems slow to return to normal revs, all the breather pipes were replaced, any idea's ??

The corrugated elbow number 6 on this diagram perishes/splits and sucks air just before the throttle body, number 4. Changed mine last year.

As above, or a vacuum leak in the line to brake servo.
