Afternoon,
I have standard H7 headlamp bulbs fitted to my 56 reg 2.0i convertible but i find them quite dim on the road surface. Are there any LED/XENON like bulbs that will fit without having to change the headlamp units ?
Any help much appreciated, thank you.

Hi....I am in the same predicament..and have decided after fitting Enhanced H7 bulbs that the lights are still not up to standard. So I will be removing the complete units and dismantling and cleaning and polishing them ..I will then add some decent HiD to the low beam .I think this is the best we can do with what we have .

HID kit, upgrade bulbs are minor in comparison and don't last as long, HID burners are about £15 a pair, with decent kits being about £50.

I've seen those LED H7 bulbs now that are seemingly super-bright (and probably illegal if you care)?

There were some cheap ones on eBay I fancied trying for my dip and if they were any good for HB too. I think they were about £25.

They looked the same as the £180 Phillips ones but were clearly cheap clones... but possibly just not with the huge mark-up and direct from the same factory in China.

I put osram night breakers in last week and they definitely improved visibility, however I have had to buy a new rear headlight cover as mine was still original and has not sealed properly causing condensation (a lot!) in one of the headlights.
