Have had mine for a couple of years and they are still going strong. Good value for money.

Likewise been using mine for 3 or 4 years and no problems whatsoever. Would also add it regenerated an electric fence battery everyone had given up on and that wouldn't take a conventional charge.

i have one for my bikes that iv had years, and its still as good as new.
i have a slightly different approach to the zed as iv been using solar panels, no great reason other than its free  and so far in 2 years and sadly little useage (500 miles a year i guess) its kept the battery topped up and in good condition.

Are these ok to be left on 24/7 like a CTEK?, I'm thinking of getting one for my dad who alternates his two cars with 6 months each usage (winter months with a Golf, summer months with a Discovery - yeah I know it's the wrong way around  )

I've had both my ZMs permanently connected to Lidl chargers for years when not in use and also have another couple charging various other batteries all without problems.

^^^^^ Cheers mate ^^^^^^

The trickle charger is absolutely perfect i just wish the wires were abit longer, do you guys run the charger on the car mode or the ICE setting??? i left it on the car setting as i didn't think it was cold enough to use the cold weather setting which i guessing adds further Charge!
This is the type of thing ferrari buy, stick their name on it and charge 300 quid....

Once again thanks for the heads up... was tempted to buy the batch that was their and stick em on ebay for 20 quid.

With the Lidl chargers that I have, I find that the red and black wires are just long enough to bring them forwards in the position that you've done and place the charger on the floor in front of the car, but you have to take care to ensure that the wires don't get caught by the bonnet catch and I then drop the bonnet and lock the car.

I set the chargers in ambient temperatures when ICE setting isn't correct and just leave them at that, and let the charger remain in trickle mode thereafter. I've still got the original 2007 battery on the Z4MC.

I also use my chargers to charge 6v go-kart batteries and not had any problems.

thanks john , they may have shortened the wires as i couldn't put it on the floor, it hangs between the plug socket and the terminals which i though was a bad idea as ill only kick it and probably set my house on fire. lol. ill grab an extension lead and run it under the car so this can sit under the floor, incredible that your original battery has held up so long!!!!

Hope your well mate, i miss you around here.
