Wipers acting up
My wipers on my 2003 E85 have been acting up since the cold weather kicked in. They will stop at random positions and will not move until I turn the engine off and back on again. Everything I have read on this form and others indicates that it is the wiper relay. There are many DIY’s but all of them are so old that the links to the pictures are no good anymore. Does anyone have any good input or procedures for this repair?
Thanks,
Ken

Ken

Excess grease in wiper motor. Plenty guides how to strip down and clean. Half hour job and free.

Quick fix but be aware I did mine a few months ago and they're starting to play up again!

Mines lasted nearly 2 years. Will now do it every year as a service item for all the time it takes

When I did mine I re-tensioned the contacts a bit as well as they seemed a bit marginal. No trouble since.thecremeegg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2018 5:14 pmQuick fix but be aware I did mine a few months ago and they're starting to play up again!

Bend them a bit, they’re just bend strips of copper.dblcrona wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2018 5:57 pmHow do you do that?Bertz4 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2018 2:59 pmWhen I did mine I re-tensioned the contacts a bit as well as they seemed a bit marginal.
