as for indy garage; it would be wrong comparing greek labour hours cost to english ones..
different philosophy, entirely.
besides, most of the pretty common things such as oil & filter change, air filter, coolant, transmission and differential fluid (when times comes) could be done by you.

Op for mileage. I get approx 500 km per tank on a 50l tank. So 10l/100km. This is my day to day driving on a 2.5i.

I have a few 2.2 ‘04 ones I can also check. Those are from a private seller. The negative part is that the first one has 102.000km and the second one 150.000km but as mentioned before if the owner was not abusing them and was making the servicing on time it won’t matter right ?
Do 04 ones had ESP ? I could not find that info

I’ve had my 2.2 for 10 years and it’s always been a good reliable car. I don’t use it very often now but when it was my daily I got around 30mpg. 6 cyl (2.2 upwards are generally more reliable).
Welcome.

ESP threw me, normally for BMW I think we call it DSC. Dynamic Stability Control.
Facelift and Pre Facelift both have this function.

My E86 (3.0Si) is showing 34 mpg on the OBC, so about 8.3 litres per 100 km I believe.
6 cylinder Z4s do seem pretty economical for the performance you get, so personally I wouldn't bother with a 2.2.
Barely more performance than a 2.0, but the same running costs as a 2.5 or 3.0 - so you might as well buy a 2.5 or 3.0!
Good luck finding one you like.

The OBCs in my car optimistic at best. I doubt very much mine is the exception.
I drove 120 miles up and down the M40 very steadily with a view to save fuel, Computer showed 39.8mpg. Filled up, did the maths and actually got 34.8mpg.
Generally when i fill up my obc shows 34, the manual calculation shows 29 or 30mpg.
Not that that's bad from a 3L mind.

I guess it all depends to driving styles / routes etc..
A realistic overall number is about 9.5 - 10 lt/km = 30mpg which is fantastic for the performance..

Today i went to see two new z4's ( one 2.0 and one 2.5 ). Those were not in great condition but i would like to know any common issues i should expect based on your knowledge, for example with its electrics, roof, hardtop, roof mechanic, lights, engine etc

From what I have read fuel consumption is pretty similar for all the 6 cylinder models.
I don't drive in traffic much as I'm no longer working, and most of my journeys are 30 miles (50km) or so on a mix of main roads and motorways. My 3.0Si tends to average about 8.5l per 100km.
I also have a 325ti E46 (same engine as the pre-facelift Z4) and that does about the same.
I had an oil service and brake fluid change on my Coupe done by a main agent in 2016 and it cost £260 - so currently about 300 Euros.
