Rear Spoiler Debate (Again!)

Post by tomoz4white » Mon Mar 18, 2019 3:46 pm

Latest...

The paint finish on the spoiler was not good enough. Had that type of rippled effect in daylight!

It's back with the painting guys to sort out...a proper sand and filler to get a smoother effect. These cheap spoilers off Ebay do not come with a decent surface!

It will then be sprayed white again (without the black). I will then look at my graphics bloke to fit a vinyl strip in black or may even see what a carbon fibre effect looks like. The beauty of that, I can take off the strip at any time and go naked white,

Still 50/50 on fitting it but let's get a decent paint finish on it first!

Rear Spoiler Debate (Again!)

Post by tomoz4white » Sat May 13, 2023 10:55 am

4 years since the last post.... It's still in the loftπŸ˜‚

I've decided it can stay there for another 6 years.

I've decided on a more subtle mod for 2023 and changing the tango side indicator repeaters to clear lens next week, something I should have done when I changed the headlights. All the orange OEM stuff can keep the spoiler company in the loft and come out if I ever wanted to revert back to OEM factory look....

French Fries = the slim piece of curved plastic between the reverse light and brake light  . You can remove them as a subtle mod

Should also you buy some Aeros & they go the same way as your stored spolier, rather than take up space in your garage am willing to offer a convenient place to look after them.

There would be no charge

Literally just pull them off then? Just a popping clip.... Interesting. I assume you prefer them off?

Not yet but there is always time.... I'm not sure if it enhances the look of the rear, a bit like a spoiler :D
