Just handed it over to a friendly mechanic and have to say even with the car in good condition I still always hate this day of the year nothing feels wrong but sure they'll find something to empty my bank account...

Wish the old girl luck!

Always a concerning time.

Hope your as lucky as me (or your Zed is as perfect as mine :P ) - mine's be through 4 MOTs now in my ownership with the only advisories being low, but legal, tyre tread.

Good luck!

IT FAILED! :(

Only on a tyre though plus an advisory on another tyre. Fortunately I knew about the advisory one so already have a tyre sat in my garage waiting to go on but the fail tyre was a bit of a shock because its on the front and tread is fine all across it until the very inside edge which is knackered... Mechanic is gonna investigate the dodgy wear when he does the service next week

managed to find a nearly new tyre for £75 vs £160 for brand new (yes I'm still on runflats and actually like them) and luckily I don't need the car over the weekend as me and the Mrs are babysitting our niece so the 2 seater is gonna be redundant til Monday when the new tyre arrives...

Could have been a lot worse. Certainly seems worth getting the garage to look at what's causing the uneven wear as that sort of thing can put a strain on the related parts.

Yeah all in all I'm happy with it was budgeting for a more expensive sting so I'll be less skint than I was prepared for!

He said it was most likely just an alignment issue as the MOT would have flagged anything major so hopefully easy enough to sort with the service

Two tyres on a 10+ year old sports car. Now that sir is what I call a fine result.

Had mine done last Friday, passed no problems only advisory was a nail in the NSR tyre which was not near sidewall or tread so they were not concerned by it. My local BMW dealer in Leamington Spa even did it for free because it took a little longer than usual and I had already said to skip the wash and interior clean because I was in a hurry. So pretty happy all round.
