philbo909 wrote: Sun Oct 29, 2017 9:58 am Yeh, I've had the bulb I linked in for a year now and not had an issue, like Mike says it doesn't have five year warranty, but for the low price it's worth it imo! Much better than buying a £30 whole new side Light unit like bmw intended
Cheers but I was more interested in the light quality (brightness, illumination evenness, colour) ;)

Unsure on the eBay ones but mine were fine with no errors.

Sorry I missed this, I coded out the lights when the sidelight initially broke. Not sure if I coded the warning back in when fitting them

So I tried out a similar bulb to what Philbo linked but it's just as dim as the stock halogens: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-x-BA9S-Bay ... 3285449298
They were also really blue looking :/

It seems that when looking for a suitable LED bulb you need to check that it's a decent wattage/lumen output and also look for a warm white colour. I'll grab some others to try!

Can these be used as DRLs, or are they not bright enough?

More than bright enough, but the option needs to be coded into the car so that they are on whilst the lights are switched off.

Yes, I know. Coding drls is plain and simple, but whilst I had i coded that way, I had to decode it, as police stated that my drls arent bright enough (stock angel eyes)

Thanks.

I would like some info on this too.

I have found these, https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-pa ... 77697a3fe1
but they are a BA9S; is this the correct fitting?
