dont think so.. unless you hack the microswitch to be in the correct position which should be pretty easy tbh
if its got tits or tyres..its trouble :D

I think, you can remove the shelf but short circuit the microswitch and then it will think that the shelf is there, but it isn't.

Just fold a sheet of paper a few times to stuff the slot with the microswitch, some office tape to hold it in place.

Put a suitable sized socket in the recess to hold the switch closed with the shelf out.
