Audi TTS
YUPies from all over the world rejoice today, finally the hairdresser's car has gone upmarket with its high performance TTS. 272 hp will ensure that you will get from point A to point B fast, and in style.
Audi has re-engineered and strengthened its 2.0 TFSI engine in a number of key areas for the TTS, which now produces 200 kW (272 hp) with 350 Nm of torque between 2,500 and 5,000 rpm. Gas mileage is also impressive at 8.0 liters per 100 km for the coupe with manual transmission, the roadster does a little worse at 8.2 liters per 100 km. The optional S-tronic dual-clutch transmission will drop fuel consumption by 0.1 and 0.2 liters per 100 km respectively.
Power is nothing if you can't put it to the road, and Audi has also thought of that. Hence the magnetic ride adaptive damping system for optimum handling under any road circumstance. There are two options, Standard for a well-balanced, comfortable ride and Sport mode which lowers the car by 10 mm and delivers sporty handling.
This Sunday the Audi TTS will be unveiled at the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detriot. On a side note, this year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Audi TT.

Re: Audi TTS
Audi is a great car, and a German one at that, but it just doesn't stir me up.

TT = Total Tedium.
I had 2 of them between M3s and I look back with no sorrow at their passing.
The TT may be German but is cast in the Hausfrau (Kinder, Kuche, Kirche) mould.

Hey don't shoot the messenger
Seriously though, I think it looks nice. OK not as good as an SLK or Z4, but not bad

A Porsche Boxster/Cayman I was seriously considering a 986S when I stumbled across my Z4 - fantastic cars to drive!
