VERY VERY nearly finally bought another car

Post by Pondrew » Wed Sep 22, 2021 12:42 pm

Well after all the discussion and pontification; not to mention enquiring about countless cars which for one reason or another were not good (your average car dealer has no morals and really couldn't give a toss about the cars he sells), I have paid a deposit on a car subject to an RAC inspection. It is a private sale and so far seems a really good 'un.
It isn't an M6 or an M4. It is a BMW and it is a four seater convertible.

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

F31 320i. Good car.
E89 20i Now fully dried
Z3 'free litre'. Project and a half. Complicated!
Mazda3 sold
Tatty old R56 Mini Cooper. Money pit!

Jeez! There's more rear legroom in a Z4 than that!

Looks like it should be moored at Monaco. :poke:

Is it the 6-series, with the retracting rear window thingummy?

Always happy to help if I can.

If the forum helped you, why not help the forum back. Thats the Z4 way!

Looks like the rear seat passengers will have to adopt the 'Lotus' position or put their legs over your shoulder. That could be interesting. :)

Good as. Lincolnshire, the riviera of the fens :D
Rear legroom is pretty good actually; the picture shows the front seats right back. I ain't particularly tall and the wife is a midget.
    It's a 640i with the N55 engine.
The M6 was stupid running costs; £300 for A brake disc :o and the 650i N63 engine has some major reliability issues and is still too expensive to run.
Don't worry boys and girls; still got the E89. I will look at the 6 as a 'grown up' Z4

Deep Sea Blue. Pretty car (boat), though
