Yes there is a blue one I see once in a while - had flared arches over the standard car

Massive Alcon brakes up front and disc conversion on rear , sports seats and , a blue interior to match . Owner said they have rocketed in price , that one is absolutely immaculate

That's not surprising - it's a Fast Ford!

They never sold in big numbers as I think they were quite expensive when new which may be why I haven't seen one in ages.

Owner said it still surprises many a fast car even today , he laughed at my zed , said in the twistys zed had no chance , think he may have been surprised !!

I used to have a silver one, 1.7litre, we placed the order the day it went on sale, waited six months to get it due to production issues but what a fantastic car, so much fun in a little package, really nippy and responsive. As Smarbear said the 1.7 litre VCT engine block were shipped to Yamaha in Japan for finishing and then shipped back to Ford for fitting. Also remember the Aluminium gear knob that was very cold in winter

It was a great car, loved it and made immortal by the advert starring Steve McQueen, think it won car of the year also.

As stated previously theblue one is the racing version built by Tickford, had a bit more power but was a lot more expensive

We had a silver 1.7 one,the ride comfort made the zed feel like a bentley, full of rust on most panels,it did go ok but not a car i fondley remember.
