Re the Mag Ride, if it does fail I’ll just go down the KW Coilover - Mag Ride delete route. I’ve been to see my paint guy and have a date booked in to sort the cosmetic paint required, so that’s great.... I can’t polish paint back on where it’s missing

Even taking into account the paint costs and replacing the mag-ride (if it becomes an issue) this is still a bargain TTS. The interior has come up like new, delighted with it. Going to start some paint correction over the weekend.

Happy so far
[/quote]

Don't blame you on the mag ride - I would have liked it if I had purchased one but failure would scare my wallet to death.

Well I am sure in a month it will be a cracking looking car all round - it aint that bad now though from the pics.

You need another hobby - paint correction again, maybe you need do this as a job

Really strange getting quite a few people wanting to buy the Edition 35 off me and to be honest it does not feel like my car after having it off my son, it still feels like his and it’s like I’m borrowing it !!!.great car though.
Sounds like that is going to be sold soon and something else on the drive :D

Think I just read a list of the cars that loose value the most after 3 years and the TT is high on that list.

That’s ok, this one is a 2012.... it was about £40k new with all the toys on it, it’s depreciated a lot already, it can depreciate as much as it wants from here on in as it’s putting a massive smile on my Mrs face

In addition, they don’t seem to have shot up in value like Z’s this year, so less far to fall.

TTRS is another level again, 2.5ltr Quattro, that’s what mr Wilks has. I have the TTS, but it’s still a special car... on another level compared to a standard TT :driving:

Both decent cars - TTS is still fun and the colour is good on that one - be better with some detailing :D

Oh yes, a mapped TTS hits 60 in well under 5 sec’s and doesn’t fly off into the scenery at the first corner

Not that 0-60 is the bee all and end all of course

Decat the secondary pipes & remap then you have a very potent tool with the TTS , 300bhp / 420nm torque are decent figures & weigh in at a smidge over 1400kg , the quattro system is faultless to most casual drivers ( include me in that ) it gives the driver the utmost confidence in terms of grip & actually using the torque available .

Pretty rapid then so worth doing for a few hundred quid, and no its not the bee all - I prefer looks and cruising ability myself but I am an old git :D

Very nice OP. 8)

You will enjoy that roof down for sure. :driving:

I used to have the Coupe version back in 2012 and I covered 67k enjoyable miles in it. It was a lovely car to live with I thought.

Enjoy it. :)

Well, my Mrs was too scared to drive it, long bonnet, low driving position and it ‘feels really wide’... so after much deliberation, we decided to sell after all and buy a 4 seater. You’d already committed to your mineral grey one at this point.

It sold within 24hrs of listing a classified add on EBay, for a fair, but more market relative, price. Lovely couple from Cardiff, think it’s going to be a daily driver... they were smitten with it

We then sat together for hours looking at 4 seaters trying our hardest to get excited, and couldn’t!......
