That's a lovely thing. This isn't ever a daily, so the all-red interior is a special occasion thing. I agree, with a manual you'll always be the right side of £50k for this car even after 3 years.

:o

£50k Angelus...?? I’d be horrified if it dropped £30k in 3 years for one with a few toys chucked at it no...? I wouldn’t expect, say, an Agate grey normal GTS with some toys amounting to £80k to drop anymore than £65k in 3 years, and that’s bottom price at that.

Maybe I’m in cuckoo land I’m not sure, but surely these 4.0 cars will hold their money quite well....?

It was, but the 2.5 turbo lump. I’d be crazy to say I didn’t lose on it obvs but by luck, not judgement, I got out of it 3 months before the 4.0 litre cars were announced, I lost a T shirt, not my shirt so mopping my brow a bit tbh. Dealers have 35-40 GTS 2.5 cars available for the last year and a half at any one time, the money they’ve dropped is pretty horrific, however early GTS’s, 2018 cars coming up to 3yrs old haven’t lost 30k even in these times and the arrival of the 4.0.

I think the 4.0 will be a benchmark engine in the boxster/ cayman

The one and only problem with the Boxster/ cayman was it just wasn’t quick enough..
They have now sorted that

They already drive better than a 911, so with that engine I believe it’s a perfect package

The 4.0 is no quicker than the 2.5 turbo GTS, and if anyone cares enough....I don’t..! it’s a tenth or so slower even depending where you read. Sharper power delivery, throttle response and the noise....the 4.0 kicks the turbo unit out the park.

Maybe £50k might be on the low side, but Porsche (like all the germans) has too much of a habit now of bringing out a 'special edition' car every other month. Personally, I think for that money it would be much better spent in the spyder.
