At that money they could at least sort out the airbag cover on the steering wheel.

I'm guessing if bought it'll be rarely (if ever) driven and just treated as an investment, which is a shame.

I was a little disappointed when I saw the interior colour but yes the steering wheel looks poor but I'm guessing exaggerated by the camera flash maybe. Going by one if the Facebook Z3 forums its been up for sale for a while now

I'm struggling to register any Z3mc at £73K as any form of "investment " how will that work with regards a profit  :P

Compared to roadster values Coupe prices have shot up over the past 5 years or so, the roadsters are slowly following suit but to a lesser degree, even so I find it hard to get the wallet around 73K

Centre console needs sorting as well. The airbag would be easily sorted, just lazy bloody dealers as always.

All these lefhand drive cars seem to command more than the equivalent RHD model though.

That's a very relevant point - we're always being told by those outside of the UK how cheap our used cars are so maybe that applies to this one too.

As much as I'd love and Imola Z3MC I just couldn't live with that interior (even if I could afford it)!
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

You need the Imola interior with an Imola car. My then 4 year old seemed to like it

BMW Z3M Coupe - Wow

The pre-2001 US market Z3M used the S52 engine (not the S50), so you get only a measly 240hp for your £73K instead of the 316hp in the European market cars. The US cars didn't even have the E36 M3 floating discs used in the rest of the world. That's before you consider the awful interior...

Z4MC - heavily fettled for track use
Lotus Exige - sensible daily driver on the mods slippery slope
Westfield SEiW - in hibernation
Modified RS4 Avant - back in Blighty
S2000 GT - gone

Because there are in excess of 320 million poor souls in the US compared to the 60 odd million in the UK, a healthy demand sees a gem like this sell for strong money by comparison. The S52 will not deter a buyer should one surface, and anyone who has owned M3's with the steering wheel like this can identify the poor appeance as being from the powder or talc used to keep the air bag ready to function. A reqular leather treatment keeps it clean and more tidy.
The S52 engine whilst down on power has plenty of torque, making this car pretty quick to drive should you want, it is a S engine, and more than up to the job too.
Yes the interior trim would not be our first choice, but at this level of originality, and condition a genuine buyer does not have a wide pool to choose from.
Recently on BAT a low mileage S54 car in Laguna seca almost hit 100k USD.
