There were only 2 Steel Grey M Coupes in the UK. When you see the colour on the car it's too dark for my taste and Sterling Grey would suit the car far better. Mine is a S54 Titanium Silver with a Red/black interior:BMWZ4MC wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 1:33 pm I think John’s (Exdos) Z3MC also is steel grey. That would be my colour of choice too, but I’d prefer an S50 with a throttle cable and I don’t believe that combination exists (at least not OEM).

Hi John, I wonder why I thought it was grey
Yours looks great, especially with the functional aero parts. IIRC it has some choice suspension tweaks too.
I’m still kicking myself for not buying the S50 Z3MC that we discussed back in 2014...more so since the vendor would have accepted less than £8k

Hi Richard, it's a real shame you didn't jump on that MC. The OEM MC is a lairy beast because the suspension has far too much travel, which causes rapid lateral and diagonal weight transfer, which can be a bit difficult to control, particularly on the road. I bought my MC OEM and progressively made changes which include KWV3, Caster/camber plates, uprated ARBs, strut-brace and butt-strut, and adjustable trailing arm brackets as well as the aero bits etc. It's handling is now fantastic and predictable.
Hope you're keeping well in Oz.

After owning an Imola MC, Steel Grey would be my colour of choice if I coudl pick anything (pref with impala interior). Think it shows the lines off perfectly.

I prefer the Estoril version with the Estoril interior. Just really love Estoril and it really suits the Z3M. Didn't think it looked so good on the E46 M3 shame they have made it a standard colour now every 1 series has it.
Also not sure if there was an AC version or just a kit but that was really rather cool too.

A shame indeed. I had a couple of other interesting cars instead as a consequence of not buying it, but I still feel like the Z3MC is a car I’d like to own one day (at least until I see the price they command now!).exdos wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 12:30 pm Hi Richard, it's a real shame you didn't jump on that MC.
