718 Cayman GTS 4.0

Post by Boyo » Tue Aug 18, 2020 1:53 pm

I have had this just over a fortnight and first impressions are what an engine. I have only done 200 miles and I am therefore keeping the revs under 4K but as you accelerate the noise is intoxicating. I opted for the GTS pack in Crayon together with the 18 way seats and various other goodies. All in all I am a very lucky and happy boy.

Top choice! Don't ever sell it.

If I could afford it I would love one. AutoExpress reckons it’s the best Cayman ever.

Very nice, it’s one of the few cars I would consider selling my Z4m for. I also think you made the right choice by going with the GTS interior package- It might be an expensive option but it really adds something unique to the car and should prove useful come resale.

Are yellow calipers an option if you don't have PCCB? Car looks amazing as it is, but that would tempt me with gentian blue.

What did you go for in terms of the interior? Any pics?

Thanks everyone for your kind words - much appreciated.
MrPT - yellow calipers are only available as part of PCCB. You can choose black gloss as a £500 odd option but I am a sucker for red.
Interior wise I chose the GTS package in Crayon, 18 way adaptive and heated seats, steering column casing in leather, climate, cruise, folding mirrors, heated multi function steering wheel, interior light package and smokers package.

How are you finding the 18 ways compared to your other porker seats Boyo bach, are they harder on the back rest...?

I had the 18 way in the previous GTS as well. I didn't find the backrest hard on the last GTS and my initial reaction is that the current seats are exactly the same. I did several long trips in the last GTS to Cornwall, The Lakes, Yorkshire and Norfolk.
