My 370Z GT Roadster
After selling my Z4MR back in 2013 I decided that I fancied another convertible. I've always liked the 350Z/370Z and I test drove a 350Z Roadster back in 2006 and really enjoyed it. I also used to have a S14a 200SX(lightly modded) which I loved to bits so I have fond memories of Nissan.
The car has a full custom stainless exhaust with sports hi flow cats on it and a stillen gen 3 air intake so it sounds lovely(loud!).
A few pics.

Thanks!
I do personally prefer a folding metal roof because I've never been a massive fan of fabric roofs when they are up(not fond of this roof up and I wasn't fond of my Z4M roof up either). I leave the roof down in the garage and it is only up when I get to a car show or if I get unexpectedly caught in the rain!
I love the E89 roof up because it gives it the look of a Coupe I reckon.

Like the quirkiness of these , certainly turn eyes ( & ears ) wherever they go , my son in law is currently after a 350Z , i'm quite looking forward to the change of driveway candy when it arrives .
RE the 89 thing totally on the same wavelength there , i think they are a great looking coupe with it up , my last 35is i didn't lower the roof more than 3 times in the 3 months i owned it

Nice one and I'm sure he'll be happy with it when he gets one.
Regards the quirkiness of them...I didn't actually realise how marmite they are to be fair. They don't seem very loved in the UK at all(fuel costs/top banding for tax probably doesn't help), yet they are massive in the USA though and very well loved.
RE the noise...I have had a couple of positive comments/thumbs up out on the road...but I guess that my neighbours see me as a menace though!!

I’ve had 2 350Z coupes, the first one, a 2003 I modified a fair bit and did some track work.I felt the engine was strangled but after a decent exhaust, a motordyne plenum and a remap the engine became more willing to rev and was much smoother. Gained 20 KW.as well. My advice to your son in law is to buy as new as possible. The later cars had the lovely twin intake engine. The very early ones could develop 3rd gear synchro issues but over here they are quite cheap to buy, run and repair, he’ll enjoy the 350Z I’m sure.mr wilks wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 8:03 pm Like the quirkiness of these , certainly turn eyes ( & ears ) wherever they go , my son in law is currently after a 350Z , i'm quite looking forward to the change of driveway candy when it arrives .

Couldn’t agree more, he might be surprised at how much bang for your buck there is in the 350Z, heaps of stuff in the internet about them of course,mr wilks wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 8:41 pmI'l pass that on thanks , he currently has a modded & mapped N54 135i but has the 350Z itch so why not , lifes a bit short for sticking with the same carHaggisman wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2019 8:37 pmI’ve had 2 350Z coupes, the first one, a 2003 I modified a fair bit and did some track work.I felt the engine was strangled but after a decent exhaust, a motordyne plenum and a remap the engine became more willing to rev and was much smoother. Glad you are enjoying the 911, I’ve had 3 before ageism and early retirement crept in to my life, fantastically dynamic cars. I am enjoying the E85 though, look forward to your posts.

I've been looking at a few 370Zs recently. Loads out there for sale at a reasonable price and mileage. Plenty of bang for your buck. The only sticking point with the 370Z for me is that the coupe is much better looking than the convertible but I don't want a coupe ! I love the roof down experience....but I might be converted

Always liked the 350Z. Not quite such a fan of the 370Z, bit too overdone after the 350, for me. Still a very fine machine though.

Yes and I agree that the 370Z Coupe is a great looking thing for sure.
I was torn because historically I've always been a Coupe man and even when I had my Z4MR I wanted to swap it for a Z4MC!!
What swung it for me this time was that because this one is modified exhaust/intake wise I can really enjoy the benefit of them with the roof down. Also it is only an occasional car...so I thought that if I'm compromising with only 2 seats I may as well have the option of roof off motoring too.

Yes and from what I read most do seem to prefer the looks of the 350Z to the 370Z.

I bought this 350Z GT4 in 2004 (featured in the Playstation Gran Turismo 4 game). Beautiful car which I loved. The design is still good today.
I used to have two boys and a girl. Now I have two Men and a Woman.

Very nice!
I sat in this exact model when they first came out at the Autosport show in Birmingham, and that was the start of my love for them for sure( I had my 200SX at the time so I was really lusting after these).
