I keep looking at C4S myself, but the 997 interior looks so dated and I hear the 1st gen PDK is pap? But then the 991.1 is still silly money!
Are you bothering with warranty?

997 interior was much more modern and contemporary than the 996. My car was a 2004 turbo, but felt like it was a mid nineties car inside. Car phone was on a wire. There was so much leather of the same colour everywhere, it really was poor from the off. It was just about ok for mine as i only wanted black as that was ok. I can't believe how some people specced their cars

I like the “dated” interiors, they look classy to my (dated) eyes

The 996 interior was a modern move that backfired , it was a total change from previous models & Porsche clearly accepted it was somewhat of a "disaster" which they rectified with the 997 reverting back to 993/964 layout with the dashboard in one as opposed to binnacle style.
Obvious things you would notice going from any Z4 is the visibility all around from drivers seat , the abrupt angle of windscreen & the girth of the steering wheel (by comparison to a BMW Msport one)

I'm certainly no spec expert, but interesting that Marlon's car has a different steering wheel (round rather than triangular boss) and is that a chrono option on the dash?mr wilks wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 11:06 amThe 996 interior was a modern move that backfired , it was a total change from previous models & Porsche clearly accepted it was somewhat of a "disaster" which they rectified with the 997 reverting back to 993/964 layout with the dashboard in one as opposed to binnacle style.

Adequate..... You can wring its neck anywhere and its fun...
From the R35 and C63 i had its a different ball game, but it can corner very very quickly with no signs of letting go...
Its a fun little car that costs absolute peanuts to run,yes the "S" would be better, but i wouldnt be paying the £6-£8k difference in price tag.

Mine has the sports pack, which yes - includes the crono option. My seats are different to mr wilks, hadn't noticed the steering wheel though, maybe thats part of the sports package - Andy will know the exact differences I'm surez4pilot wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 2:54 pmI'm certainly no spec expert, but interesting that Marlon's car has a different steering wheel (round rather than triangular boss) and is that a chrono option on the dash?mr wilks wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 11:06 amThe 996 interior was a modern move that backfired , it was a total change from previous models & Porsche clearly accepted it was somewhat of a "disaster" which they rectified with the 997 reverting back to 993/964 layout with the dashboard in one as opposed to binnacle style.

The triangular one is the standard wheel though not all have full controls on them .
The round wheel on Colin's is indeed classed as a sport one which i believe is marginally smaller in diameter but could be wrong there .
