Edit, just looked and it says they were made in 1975. It couldn't have been new when I got it :(
There's nothing more dejecting as a child than receiving a second-hand Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle!
The winder-upper covered in sticky residue from half-chewed Spangles.
A wobbly back wheel from too many hard-landings / wall-landings.
Evel missing his helmet and having 'Tucky loevs Sharon McGuire' written in biro on his back and an improvised moustache on his face.
No, there's nothing worse.
Not getting a Raleigh Chopper was worse! thats all I wanted in life (at the time), Christmas morning arrived..... I got a BSA Beaver! (not the motorbike) no wonder I grew up bitter and twisted! I had to pedal hard to get away from all the hordes of kids on Raleigh Choppers! DSC00004-1.jpg
OMG, how remiss of me! The Chopper!
Had one of those too and was actually the favourite until I cracked the back of me nut open pulling a wheelie. I've never been the same since *twitch*
Evel a close second then.

Chris_D, you must have been trying really hard to do that!

A school-mate of mine had one of the early Orange ones and you could adjust the angle of the handlebars so they were much easier to wheelie! I've also never been the same since.

No handlebar adjustment made them any easier to wheelie.
The front to rear wheel ratio meant that if u over-cooked it you were toast at most wheelie angles!
