Yes, it was stock and I had just come out of a V10 remapped RS6 which was running about 760HP, so that didn't help it's case either.

I went from an 800hp C6 RS6 to a 620bhp GTR and the GTR was ballistic in comparison. It can annihilate a set of corners or a track so much better than the boat that is an RS6.

I’m starting to wonder whether you had an GTR that was running properly....

Yeah potentially, 3 years of not running properly.

RS6 is 2 tons (wet) with a slushbox and the engine beyond the front axle. It doesn't take much to make a faster car than that. Great cruiser but it's not even in the same league as a bolt on GTR. A stock GTR is faster than a tuned RS6 around any circuit, even a road with some decent corners.

The worst thing about a tuned RS6 is the cooling, at 800bhp mine was running 1.8bar of boost and it couldn't manage the heat properly (seven radiators and electric fans as stock).

Have heard RS6 and heat being an issue a few times but the above makes sense to me..

I love a proper audi but even the R8 I took out before the GTR on track left a lot to be desired (if it was a V10 + I'm sure I'd feel different) just didn't quite have the same feel - although I wasn't head over heels with the GTR at that point either so maybe a moot point .

In other news finally got her back to the mancave to start going over her properly
