Goodbye Z4 but not goodbye Forum

Post by jimbo1958 » Sat Mar 23, 2019 9:27 am

Made the 600 mile round trip to Carlisle on Friday to collect my new car. I've lusted after an F Type since I first saw one back in 2014. The car is absolutely immaculate for a 5 year old car but it was previously owned by a collector with a few sports cars hence only having 2000 miles on the clock.
After searching for the "right car" for months this one popped up on Autotrader with all the options I wanted that included Meridian Surround and the beautiful Performance Seats. An unbelievably low 2k miles on and weeks short of its 5th birthday which meant it came with 2 years Jag Warranty and full breakdown cover including homestart, recovery etc.
Also had it ceramic coated which certainly makes the Firesand "pop" and should offer some protecton of the paint for a few years.
Lloyds Jaguar have been superb throughout the purchase. They were gonna put new Pirellis on all round, but told them I wamted Michelin Pilot Sport 4 s instead. I told them I'd pay the difference and was surprised that it only cost me an extra £95. :D
Took it for a top down spin today through the twisties and it drives fantastic. Although sad to see the back of my old Z4, this is certainly a brilliant upgrade. 😀👍

Will be sticking around the forum as I have made some great friends here and will be attending the 10th National Meet (my 9th) in July.
Hope to see some of you there.

Beautiful looking car, really think it’s one of the best looking cars on the road. I’d trade my Z in a heartbeat for one. Enjoy  :driving:

The F-Type is a wonderful thing. I even love the sort of fake handle on the passenger side of the centre console. It is really just saying 'if your not driving, keep your bleedin' hands off me dials'. Who wouldn't want one?
