Thought I'd have a decko at this car as an alternative to an E89 - imo a very good looking car that's stunning in red never owned an Audi - the 2.0 newer version TFSI is no slouch either with 0-60 in 6 secs - top speed 151mph so almost as quick as an E89 30i but cheaper tax and remarkable mpg - looks well put together and the seats / cabin in my view look better - yes more about than Z4's but red models are less common - yes I know " Hairdressers' cars but I can live with that ....... and can be easily remapped apparently Clearly roof can't come down but you can get a convertible although I don't think it looks as good as the coupe.

Hi Gov, I think the Audi looks nice but not as striking as a z4 imho. It looks more of a bubble shape & lacks the long bonnet look?

A very planted car on the German autobahns at full chuff & felt far more stable than my old 3.0SE at those speeds. Loved the experience, though the ionly drawback is they don’t have the same soul, probably because they’ve been made to be so much easier to drive.
Suggest to avoid the 19” rims for two reasons, one 19” rotors weigh twice as much as 18”, and, in heavy rain the 19” 245’s I ran in both Michelin & Toyo were a bit scary.

When you say rotors, are you talking brake discs or do you mean rims instead?Jembo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 11, 2018 11:13 am A very planted car on the German autobahns at full chuff & felt far more stable than my old 3.0SE at those speeds. Rims, these style are known as Rotor alloys & the weight of them was huge - had 18” rotors on the A3 & were lightweight in comparison
