The Zed replacement has arrived

Post by Roundozo » Fri Apr 20, 2018 10:19 am

It was an extremely sad day to see my car being driven away when she was sold but glad to see JamieZ4C is enjoying it and shes staying in the forum (great calendar entry btw Jamie)

After many weeks of searching the replacement has been found. Not really the same drive but 0-60 in 5.9 sec should still occasionally put a smile on my face.

I've always preferred the look of the Tourings (including Merc/Audi) over the saloons.

Very nice, even though it's a dirty diesel!

They are pretty ferocious tbh. Faster than a Corsa VXR clubsport even while fully laden.
And they look damn comfy inside.

Yep no Z yet. On the hunt.

Yeah, it's not going to make me look back at when i park it unlike the zed but it will at least cover my practical needs while still being reasonably fun to drive. Being euro 6 engine I hopefully won't get too shafted by the new tax laws.

I ‘ve got the same one in the same colour. Had it for nearly a year now. It is an absolute pleasure to drive. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Don't, I still haven't shaken the feeling of guilt as I drove your pride and joy away! Glad you like the photo. I'm hoping to enter a picture each month, so you'll still be able to see her :)

Love everything about your 530. Very good choice. And hopefully not a woodscrew in sight

Just driven it home from the garage. What a pleasure it is to drive for a large car. Plenty of grunt for my current needs yet all the comforts of a living room! Very happy with my purchase so far!

Haha, yeah. This one hasn't had a back yard repair. The budget had to increase slightly but it made sense as my previous budget was just turning up "well used" cars

That's a good colour - looked at one local to me but it was a cream interior and in our workhorse that's a no no.

Yeah didn't want cream for the very same reason. This is going to be used for family holidays etc so black was a must. I also struggled to find one without some sort of wood dash.
