I had read that somewhere, but seeing as I'd only want a Coupe I'd feel a bit less guilty buying a Toyota with a BMW engine!

I like it , and being a Toyota means it will be more reliable than a BMW, .... but it has a BMW drivetrain. Now how is that going to work...

cant believe Toyota need to use a BMW engine, the original supra straight six twin turbo was a good engine why not develop that

Saw it last year testing on the ring back to back with the new z , both were camouflaged but going very quickly and were very composed . Possibly the supra seemed quicker but I've no idea why , looked the better car to be honest

I can only guess it's because of emissions - back in the days of the previous Supra they weren't an issue!

Most definitely, Japan are so behind on turbo and fueling technology. It’s incredible to think that neither Toyota nor Honda, Mitsubishi , Zubaru can make turbo engines any more that are up to date. Even Nissan only have the GT-R, and all the other small turbo engines in nissans are basically designed by Renault/ Peugeot.
