just bought a new Suzuki Swift hybrid 4wd

Post by Mad Professor » Mon Feb 05, 2018 4:37 pm

So pxed my CRV and now downsized to a Suzuki swift 1.2 hybrid 4wd
Need a 4wd and this seemed to fit the bill -either that or Panda 4wd
Managed to get 1800 quid off list price via car wow on 0% PCP deal over 43 months
-and curiously they gave me 1k more than local Honda stealer as px
So no point selling privately on WBAC
Have to say first impressions are pretty good
Fully loaded with all the toys and economical
Being jap should be reliable as well hopefully

And another.
I bought a Swift as our daughter's first car. We renamed it the Suzuki isn't.

No doubt a far better car now.

Its a bit underpowered but as a daily eco runner its fine
If i were doing a lot of motorway miles I would want something with more hp and torque
However for someone who needs a small 4wd car it fits the bill and its a 5 door hatch
Otherwise you're carrying around all the weight and size of an SUV when most of the time you dont really need it
If Kia made a similar car i would have bought one with the 7 yr warranty -Suzuki is only 3yr but being Japanese should be reliable
Sportage is too big and i dont want a deisel as my miles to work and back would not regenerate the DPF -not to mention residuals moving forwards

Buying a brand new car is the worst thing you could have done for the polar bears....

Nowt wrong with the Swift, had two in the past, first being the GTI with a peachy twin cam, end of the day a good value runabout, best way of looking at cars such as these. Will say one thing after 12 months of owning the little Hyundai i10 its the least stressfull car I've ever owned and the cheapest, pretty much perfect as a town runabout :)

Tim.
