I have a real soft spot for BMW's 3 and 5 series Touring models having owned several over the years and so this brief on-line summary of the new Alpina B5 Touring caught my eye. After reading it I wonder is there any other car that offers as much performance, practicality and luxury per £ as this does ?
I would absolutely love one as a daily driver, as Clarkson would say "What a machine !"

Not sure about the best car in the world, but that’s a lovely motor
Question is, will BMW eventually make an M5 touring then ?

The alpinas certainly are great in terms of performance.
In terms of styling its really marmite. The M sports always look better IMO. They just seem to chuck awkward looking body pannels and badges everywhere.

Lol, have to agree with the alphabetty badge collection on the boot so debadged of course, but I do like the helix side striping

I'd certainly take it over an RS6.
Now where's that lottery ticket.

If we had a slightly smaller dog and a very much larger bank balance, one of these would be on order.
