Yes, I asked him about that, it's a track title from a local band he like just after buying the car in '07. He has since moved on in musical taste and is happy for the plate to go with the car.

raymond.harper wrote: Tue Dec 26, 2017 9:08 am Having has a few corvettes in the past there is a UK forum http://www.corvetteclub.org.uk/ Great cars in a straight line but they scare me a bit in the wet. Build quality not the best and LHD can be a bit difficult at overtaking, roundabouts T junctions but on the plus side great for continental driving. Bit of a head tuner you will find !
Thanks, I joined the UK club a year ago in anticipation of buying one. It's a very quiet forum, reflective of only 900 or so members I guess. You don't own a Corvette now? :)
Last Corvette I imported from Japan a few years ago and sold it to a chap in France. Japanese really like their Vettes! I found I was not doing a great mileage with the Corvette and always having to fill it up with fuel when I did. Main reason was that I was always asking my wife if the road was clear at roundabouts, T juctions overtaking. In the states you have long wide open roads while over here they tend to be narrow and slippy! Enjoy your car when she arrives !

Wow Dave that is a massive change! The drive back will surely be epic, enjoy it. Feel your pain if the Z has to go but you've replaced one long bonnet with another by the looks!

Impressive. Would love a Corvette but the wheel is on the wrong side. I got absolutely pounded by a ZR-1 on the M60 in my Supra.

I have never seen anything move that quick in s straight line.

Hero. I would go out right now and buy a zr1 if they got off their arse and made them in rhd.
Had an opportunity to buy a c5 z06 25th anniversary edition a few years back. Bottled it though and ended up putting a saab turbo lump in a mk3 astra gsi.
MR-2 Turbo Rev2

Yep no Z yet. On the hunt.

Nice!!!!!! White would have been my preferred colour, but I can live with red. I've started ordering a few bits including a Euro light loom ready to try to make the MOT man happy.
