See. You just couldn't do it! :D

I think that's probably true, so compromise will likely be either they provide an extended warranty in the price or share the pain upfront with a discount. I guess i'm just peeved at bmw's standard approach.

The lambo idea really was VERY silly! :D

V10 Audi R8 spider? Go for a high mileage one and save yourself a huge depreciation hit. Similar to a lambo but up on the practicality as an every day car.

I think the manual R8 V10 is one of the best used car buys right now. Given what manual Ferraris have done I think it's a safe place to put your money.

Just out of interest , how much would a replacement battery or battery pack cost ?

It's too late for people not to hate me

nsx is worth a look, but probably too pricey. Set myself a £70k limit as 3-4 years of mileage will all but kill it anyway.

After looking briefly all I can find is that an i3 battery is €1700 or so , it has 8 batteries so I'm guessing an i8 has more ? Convert that to sterling and it's comparable to a clutch change on a Lambo according to evo magazine !
My Mrs gets a generous car allowance but they don't allow anything but 4 door cars , your employer is a star , don't ever hand your notice in ! The Mrs got comments for turning up in a white merc , she'd have got a p45 for even suggesting a used Lambo
