Best "back to black" product

Post by Tinman6 » Fri Apr 06, 2018 6:27 pm

I know this is an old thread but just in case anyone searches for best 'back to black' product...

My door mirror brackets had gone mid grey through age, after recommendations elsewhere I ordered some Valet Pro 'Black to the Future'
It's awesome stuff !! Mirror brackets are now jet black again, tyre walls look great and works on interior plastics too

Highly recommended :D

I've just done mine with Autoglym Plastic and Rubber Care, done a really good job on the mirror brackets!
Just sprayed some on a microfibre cloth and rubbed it in!
Had to do the plastic below windscreen 2 or 3 times to get decent finish!

Seen some of the posts and just wondering how people got on? I assume many have either got their chosen product now or have past experience. How long does it last? I was thinking about C4 but remain undecided!

Gummi doesn't restore the black finish on my window trims (the soft strip of rubber at the top of the door). It does its thing with the other rubbers etc, but doesn't alter the colour on the soft rubber.

Looks like C4 is for hard plastics?

I’ve been using that and it’s not bad. I put a little bit in a plastic cup and use a 1” brush to apply it. Then buff off with a microfibre. I find I don’t get it on the paintwork and glass by doing it that way.

I too used this product - so far all trim, engine bay plastics and seals are looking pristine after a few weeks of application.
