C2v3 on windscreen?

Post by ihadablackdog » Sun Mar 14, 2021 10:47 pm

When I apply sealant (in my case, C2v3) I also put it on the side and rear glass, but don’t know if it’s ok to put it on the windscreen as well?

Is it safe to do so and a good idea?

safe to do no problem but you wont get the longevity out of it, use the proper glass coating ( G1 ) and apply 3 coatings. you wont look back.

No hopefully he will look forward, mirrors are the place for looking back :D

In all seriousness though thanks for the tip, could do with a longer lasting windscreen product

no probs, you'll get a good year out of it or 30k miles... application is a pain but well worth the results. one of my most popular treatments.

C2v3 on windscreen?

So, my car is 2011 and has lots of light scratches on the screen.

I don’t have a da polisher etc. The kit from clean your car comes with a polishing product...would this be suitable for hand application to help prep the glass? I know it won’t remove the scratches though.

it wont remove the scratches but will prep the screen hence why its part of the kit. check the instructions and follow to the T. removing the windscreen product can be a pain in the behind so take time to read the instructions on how to apply to get the best out the product.
