From colinite to fusso

Post by Dave 2 dogs » Sat Feb 20, 2021 12:20 pm

Just finished my tin of colinite 476s after 4 n half years and many cars . Was very happy with this product and ready to replace it with the same, I came across some head to head wax vids on YouTube and fusso was far ahead of the colinite after some decent testing. Just put the first couple of coats on today, feels different to the colinite but not in a bad way.
Definitely wouldn’t put too much on with this, it could be very hard to get back off if left too long also.
How has anyone else found these products?? Colinite 476 8 fusso 99 dark .... let me know how you rate them if you tried them
Thanks

I used Collinite 845 for several years and was very happy with it but changed to Soft 99 about 3 years ago. I posted this about my experience of Soft 99 waxes last June :)

"I have tried several products from the Soft99 range and none have dissapointed. I wax my cars quite regularly, approximately every 2 or 3 months so I can't really pass comment on there longevity.
I currently use the Kiwami Dark on my Causeway Grey Disco4 (almost black) as the gloss level is just superb, and the Fusso Coat Dark on my Sterling Grey Z4...not quite as glossy but the water beading is insane so the car stays cleaner for longer and is easier to clean when I do so. Both waxes are superb value for money  "

As you say though they're definitely best applied as thinly and evenly as possible and other than that I'm still extremely happy with both waxes and don't plan to change any time soon

Thanks for feedback patriot 66
Don’t think I’m gonna be disappointed with this. I also wax quite regularly. Was thinking of the fusso quick detailer to compliment their wax in between waxing.

Used them both and both good waxes.

For higher gloss levels at cheap money i have used TAC systems shinee wax and EZcare Graphene wax..

Longevity not tested on either but gloss levels are incredible.

collinite 476s has been my go to wax for many years, gone through a few tins as it has great longevity and doesn't disappoint with shine, I'm also thinking of trying something new this summer and fusso is one of the ones I'm considering, I'm also tempted to stick within the Collinite brand and try the Marque d'Elegance, tbh I wouldn't normally have considered it as its a bit pricey but I have some Amazon vouchers to use up and due to the quality of their other products I'm intrigued to see how their higher end product pans out
if its got tits or tyres..its trouble :D

Mr .Tourette
Don’t take my word only,
But having been pleased with the colinite 476s in the past , I also thought I’d try the marque, d elegance.... only used it twice, was very disappointed with it . If you want to try it still
Pm me your full name and address and I’ll send you the tin , you can make up your own mind on it for free, I found it was a bit too oily and tacky for my liking, other people might actually say they find it good,

Funny that... I found the same,a bit like pushing butter around the panel.

If you want to try and a superb wax but up the price point a little, then try Concours R222 wax. Really is incredible and outguns waxes at treble the money in most areas.

Got a tub of zymol carbon in the fridge
Nice show wax .... life span .... absolutely pants!!!
Was happy using it before I started archery and collecting dust every time I went to the field, one wash and the protection is gone , that’s why I went back to the tin of colinite 476s , now that’s all gone, and after the review in the vid , thought I’d give the fusso 99 dark a bash , I don’t think I’ll be disappointed. Especially after the comments above about it

True enough...

I have a few tins of fusso... Kiwami is my fave off them..

I have some Zymol Royale, which is incredible but i hardly use it... Just charge out for it if someone wants it..lol..

There are some great products about for not much money. The TAC systems Shinee stuff really is summat else for the money, best for messers like myself that are out there every week messing about with some wax or other

I’ve been using Fusso 99 on and off (no pun intended) for about a year or so. To be honest it’s pretty disappointing on Monaco blue. Quite hard work, not a spectacular gloss level and nothing revolutionary in terms of longevity either. Just feels a bit average all round to me.

That’s interesting,
I’ll hopefully have a better liking for it myself.
If not, it’s back to the colinite I guess.
