Meguiars Ultimate Wax Paste was very good for me on my Ruby Black car.
Easy on and off and did two coats.
Probably get it for around 25 quid from carparts4less. I think I paid about 22 last year for it

Not sure how much it is but I have been using Dodo Juice Purple Haze for years on our black cars and they always look good, easy on and off too. Tried a few others but keep using this.

I suppose if £25 keeps you out of trouble for a week it’s well worth itmr.tourette wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 5:48 pmHaha, I've got a week off coming up and were in lockdown so i need something to keep me busy

For the amateur once over that gives a finish like its been at the detailer for 2 days Auto Finesse triple £12.99mr.tourette wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 5:28 pm Would like to try something new on a detail next week (weather permitting) sub 25 quid please and easy on off preferred..hit me up with your favourites, I'm leaning towards Meguires g18211 Ultimate from Amazon reviews but I'm open to having my mind changed

To spend all your £25 budget & get the best around that money ( imo ) this does take a little effort to apply but removes very easily & has a finish that would match most detailers desires Kiwami Fusso https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SOFT99-The-K ... SwPRlXnHOk

That on top of Chemical Guys butter wet wax really takes some beating but you will be spending £38-£40 & have two products to apply.

I use GB Detailing for all my car cleaning products. Now this guy Gavin in a mate of mine that started selling his own products 4 or 5 years ago.
So, I know he's a mate put I'm not recommending his stuff just because he is. I've tried many a product and his is as good as any out there and well worth a try.
You can chat with him on facebook to discuss all his products if you look up GB Detailing or Gavin Baker ( best to get a direct response ) or you can take a look on his new website https://gbdetailing.com/

Asuuming you want finish / shine over protection (therefore regular top ups) anything by Zymol, albeit a bit over budget. There stuff is what Clean Your Car recommended to me for car shows. Arguably the easiest to apply and remove of all the products I've used.
Not a wax, but if you're looking for shine before a wax Auto Finesse Ultra Glaze gives a stunning shine / gloss with no need for effort. Pretty new to me, but I've used it on my last two details after polishing and it adds an amazing depth to a finish.
Let us know what you go for and what you think!

Cheers Dan, wouldn't say I'm prioritising shine over protection would ideally like both, I've been using Collinte 476s recently which really gives great protection but a very decent level of shine albeit not wet look/show finishidej_z4 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 7:16 pm Asuuming you want finish / shine over protection (therefore regular top ups) anything by Zymol, albeit a bit over budget. What colour is your car? I can’t recommend Fusso soft 99 on dark colours at all, very disappointing gloss level on my Monaco blue and doesn’t seem to last at all. Assuming this is the same stuff we are talking about....
I think you will have a much better time with the Megs Ultimate paste wax...
Bilt Hamber double speed wax is another popular recommendation but I don’t get on with it at all.
