I’m not expecting miracles, more that it’s easier to keep the wheels properly clean, especially around the bolts which collect brake dust leading to corrosion.beanie wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 11:04 pmI’d second this. Neither mine nor my girlfriends wheels get particularly dirty but I was expecting the dust to rinse off with far greater ease.ph001 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 10:50 pm I removed all 4 wheels to give them a proper clean and degrease before applying G5 about 2 months ago. Did it all by the book in the garage to ensure they didn’t get wet in the subsequent 24hrs.
Honest opinion is that there is certainly not the dramatic difference I was expecting. The wheels still seem to get the same amount of brake dust on them which can’t be simply washed off with a hose like some suggest. I certainly wouldn’t buy it again.
Perhaps the only noticeable difference is because I only had enough to do the front wheels, those two are definitely glossier than the rears.
I use Bilberry wheel cleaner, which is PH neutral, but it’s still hard work on ingrained brake dust. All I’m hoping for is that the ceramic coating makes cleaning the brake dust off with a soft brush easier.... I’m not expecting a contactless wash
