BMW XGuard

Post by Nick177 » Mon Sep 14, 2020 11:14 am

I,ve had my G29 for over 3 months and have washed my car regularly using various shampoos in my garage. No matter what product I use, I’ve been slightly disappointed with the finish. When I picked the car up from BMW, they had given the paintwork the X Guard treatment.
So today I thought I would use the X Guard Wash & Wax and then apply the conserve treatment. The result was very impressive. Once I had applied the conserve treatment To the paintwork and despite bright sunlight, I could see that the beading was very slow to dry.A quick wipe down and the car looked great.

The BMW range is made by Koch Chemie. They make a lot of German white label stuff. You can also buy it from Slims Detailing. It’s very good stuff.

You may, at some time, want to buy their decon stuff. Similar to dragon’s breath, it will help remove fall out from the body work. You could also get some clay for them windscreen.

They also make a very good light sealant called 1k nano. We sell it as an intermediary sealant. Much better than Autoglym or the ‘brites’ brands.
E86 3.0 M-Sport with lots of twiddly bits causing a decreasing bank account and my wife’s Audi A4 cabriolet to have extra work done so she keeps up.

Thanks for the info.
I’ll look out for Koch Chemie and Slims Detailing
