Yes it does seem out of alignment , the passenger one too should be twisted up a touch , the boxes usually sit level across the two pipes , possibly previous owner had aftermarket boxes on & not got them adjusted properly when refitting the originals .

When I look at photos of when I first had the car they were level, now not so.

Hmm , look level though the right looks lower ? most probably not fully tightened , they are weighty items the oe backboxes
