Decisions, decisions!!!!
You've been quoted £120 for a roof wrap. You can buy the size wrap you want off ebay for £30. Do you buy from ebay and take 2 or 3 hours doing it yourself? Or f**k it and get the professionals to do it?

I’d be tempted to buy the wrap and allow loads of time to get it perfect. Is the ebay wrap any good? I’d want to make sure I was buying pro grade materials for it. It sounds like it wouldn’t be the end of the world if you had to peel it off again so I’d say go for it

I wouldn’t be tempted, it doesn’t state a manufacturer.
I’d only go with 3m or equivalent.

Honestly, if you definitely 100% want a black roof, then pay someone with experience to do it properly for you. There's only £90 difference and nothing will annoy you more if the wrap starts lifting at the edges. However, if you're a little unsure whether you'll keep it and also want to learn a new skill with all the free time we have then give it a go yourself.

I agree with Angeluss
Get a small piece and try to wrap a soccer ball. When you are done you will know if you should do it to the car or let a professional do it

Exactly. You will find plenty of curves in the Z4 roof. And you do want a professional job. I naively thought I could tint the windows cheaply in my cars well there is a learning curve, shall I say.

Hmmmm might try and get a cheap wrap for a fiver and try the headlights. See if I can do a good job. If I can do them, then might try the roof. If I can't then I've lost nothing.

Just when we thought you were anglicized, you go and drop the ball...the FOOT ball
OP, if you cock it up and have to buy a 2nd roll, you then move closer to the pro fit price. I tried tinting my boys windows, it waseasy on a flat surface, a bitch on a curved one.
