It's the main flat areas that will likely suffer the damage from birds. These are the simple bits to wrap, so just get these bits covered for way less than your quote.

The air rifle as an option? Think of the blood and feathers I’d have to remove from the paintwork.
The PPF would still need to cover large areas, the bonnet, roof, boot.
Twice I have had the top of the wings pooped. I doubt if that could be done without the verticals, there’d be a line along the edge.
I’m looking at other types of sealant.
Someone in the trade has given me a bottle of an Australian product that is offered by Renault on new cars.
It’s called Fortron Shield.
Anyone heard of it?
