Leather Cleaner

Which Woolite did you use? There's a few different types.

I didn't know that, here in Spain I could only find one type and it is in a pink bottle and just says Woolite for delicate and wool clothes. I guess it must be the standard / original version? I actually bought it to wash my microfibres and then discovered that it can be used to clean leather too.

If it works post a pic! if it doesn't don't blame me I finished cleaning the rest of my interior yesterday and it's looking real good! I need to get some colour dye to cover the minor scuffing on the bolster and then coat it with Gyeon Leather Shield.

Do you make the solution, dip the brush, and then scrub the seats?

Maybe scrub is the wrong word, a medium pressure?

I mixed the solution in a spray bottle, spray a little onto the seat and scrub using light to medium pressure and wipe off with a microfibre towel. For some of the smaller vertical areas I sprayed the solution onto the brush and then brushed it on.

Just to throw another product to the fray.

When I got the car I just used APC to give them a good scrub, and they look pretty good but still need a bit of a going over. Im slowly getting the car upto standard.

Im going to give Dojo Juice a go on the leather as like the other guy said (got shot down) leather conditioner mostly sits on the leather and builds a grinding paste that deteriorates your leather faster by first wearing the coating then you get cracks (Based upon Dr Leather yep I'm going to get shot down too).

There are quite a few good reviews of these on detailing world and some amazing before/afters.

It is really good stuff. I use it and it gives the leather a wonderful non gloss finish. See below.

Nope. The instructions say not to as it says conditioners trap contamination and can lead to increasing wear and derogation.

It's a two step process with a sealant applied after cleaning so it's pretty safe either way.

It has however, took the shine from the leather and restored the matte finish.

Seats don’t look as new, but it was my first go at it.

There are two products. The first cleans, the second seals. Both water based.

Looks good, when the sun is out I may give the whole interior a detail with it.
