Best product to protect brand new set of wheels before fitting ?

Post by wilwong1971 » Sun Apr 07, 2019 3:06 pm

Hi

What products do you recommend putting on a brand new set of wheels for longer term sealant and protection before putting on tyres and fitting to the car?

Thanks!

Yep, I applied 2 coats of C5 to my newly refurbished wheels and it makes cleaning them a breeze...

Virtually all grime comes off with some snowfoam and a blast with a pressure washer but if you give them a wipe over with a decent hydrophobic QD (e.g. Sonax BSD) after each wash, rain tends to run off taking most of the dirt & brake dust with it so they stay cleaner anyway.

I've literally just done this on my new wheels with PoorBoys Wheel Sealant - 3 coats as recommended :)
