Its finally clean .....

Post by DibbleCorse » Thu Jul 26, 2018 5:35 pm

So had www.auto-genie.co.uk round last Friday and after nearly 7 hours of real effort getting the grime, baked on dust, sand, tar spots and everything off the car before a protection treatment the car now looks awesome ....

Here is what it had:
Pre-contact wash=Bilt-Hamber
Wash=Bilt-Hamber
Decon=Bilt-Hamber and CarPro
Paint prep=Bilt-Hamber, Dodo Juice and Scholl Concepts
Protection=Finish Kare, Bilt-Hamber, Britemax, Angelwax and Gtechniq

There were multiple extra bits but thats the core ...

Really nice detail there!

Which alloy wheel style have you got there? I've been looking for this style for a while now and can't find the name of them.

Hi gents and thanks for the nice comments, and a couple of responses.

He is based in Chelmsford, Essex, but has no issues travelling, he came to me near Reading.

Regards his prices, he does have a fair structure, but is also flexible, what I wanted fell between 2 stools so we decided on a custom approach ensuring we got the results I wanted within my budget.

And the wheels are http://www.bmautosport.co.uk/showroom/p ... rear-p-422 , although I didn't buy mine off BM, I got them locally as got cracking deal with non runflat Eagle F1's ... I did need 10mm hubcentric spacers front and back to get the fit right and the car is lowered from M Sport height on a set of Eibachs.

Nice finish, but if you're able to...for that spend you could have got all the products yourself and when in 2 weeks time it's as dirty as before you could clean it up again.

But in two weeks time it won't need all those products again :)

And the main flaw in that strategy is the fact that you don't know what a lazy git I am ... lol :)

But I do get your point and in fairness did price up a 'detailing kit' but then thought ...'f*** that for a game of soldiers' ... lol

Fair play, TBH whilst I weirdly quite enjoy the detailing task, sometimes I feel like it's a chore keeping the bloody things clean in the UK. A few weeks back I'd spent 4 hours detailing for it to rain instantly the moment I finished, leaving the rain/sand dirty all over it :headbang:

I had mine done professionally earlier this year .. it looked amazing ( still does ) and is now much easier to clean and keep looking it’s best

It’s now swirl free and tbf the thought of ME getting a machine polisher filled ME with horror as to the damage I could cause with it :rofl:
