So here's how I spent four hours yesterday morning...

First off, a liberal amount of Renovo Soft Top Cleaner and a lot scrubbing to try and get the roof nice and clean (I'll need to do it again though). Followed by a wash, my first attempt at using a clay bar and then a ton of polish, applied with my rotary sander and a nice thick sponge pad and then polished by hand.

Sadly, the interior (and the Volvo) will have to wait until another day!

Quick question for the forum - can anyone recommend how I can get these trim parts around the mirrors black again?

Looking good!

Gtechniq C4 for the trim.

I use Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber care and it comes up well.

With regards to the black wing mirror mount, don't cheat and apply a coating to 'restore' its appearance :D It is an aluminium casting with a satin black painted finish. If you polish it up with some mild compound like Poorboys SSR2 this will remove the dead/faded paint on its surface then you can seal it with a quality wax or sealant.
By the way, your car looks great ! Great colour !
