Removing Scratches In Centre Console

Post by RustyZ4 » Fri Apr 20, 2018 8:27 am

I have a few minor scratches in my aluminium centre console, that were there when I bought it, so I am just wondering the best way to try and remove them, it looks like the aluminium is lacquered so I was thinking of meguiars ultimate compound, but would that be a bit harsh?

If it has the brushed appearance, then you won't fix it easily. It has been anodised I'm guessing. I don't believe it can be fixed. If it's a real pain, then you could wrap it in brushed alu vinyl. Something like this:
