HI FOLKS,
THOUGHT I WOULD GET THIS OUT EARLY,SO EVERYONE CAN BOOK IT INTO THEIR DIARIES FOR NEXT YEAR,lol.

As per title, next years National Forum meet will be on the Weekend of FRIDAY 29TH,SATURDAY 30TH JUNE AND SUNDAY 1ST JULY.

........THIS IS DUE TO A COUPLE OF THING'S,AS I HAD TRIED TO GET IT/HAD PROVISIONALLY BOOKED IT FOR THE WEEKEND OF 6th/7th/8th July,But the Hotel was already booked for that Weekend And also for the w/end of 13/14/15th of July,we would have had a limited number of rooms available for those dates,and also both the tr4/classic cars group who were there at the same time as us this year had went and booked up a load of rooms for the 6/7/8th of July s well as the Fern society/another large group had booked for both those weekends in July!
So,End of June into July it will be :D

UPDATE,JUNE
As before we have a drive on the Saturday round the lovely Lake/Change of Plan this year,we will be doing a Drive we haven't done before,in The xxxxxxxxx(all will be revealed soon,but routes are sorted), stopping for lunch and toilet breaks, and this tends to be the slightly more Scenic driving day due to the roads we are on.
We will also be avoiding the couple of passes which ended up far too busy,and a pita in 2017,taking some alternative roads and a ferry trip which we didn't get time for this year.... Unfortunately,the Ferry is out of action for Repairs,but we are doing something else instead :D

On the Sunday we head for the Yorkshire dales/moors, which is the more driver-focussed day of the 2(quieter roads).Again, stopping for Lunch etc. at designated times.

As of now, I have once again block booked ALL available tent spaces at the Waters Edge Caravan park (aprox 10/12 spaces).
Prices for Camping/Tent-spaces are TBC,but are aprox. £12 per 1/2man tent per night with single occupant, an upto 2/3/4man size tents being £14.50 with 2 person Occupancy, per night.
UPDATE,JUNE....Now we are less than 2 weeks to the meet, anyone wanting Camping spaces just on me,and I will keep you one,and you can pay the full amount to the Campsite on the day.

I have also Booked a table for 18-20 people at the Crooklands hotel, Kendal, for the Friday Night Meal for those who will be there then. Again, PM me if you want your names down for this, thanks.

YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME FOR THE WHOLE WEEKEND, OR JUST THE INDIVIDUAL SATURDAY OR SUNDAY DRIVES.

For those who haven't been before, as always you can stay at the Waters Edge Campsite (booked via me).
We have a BBQ on the Saturday night,and a few drinks in the adjacent bar :thumbsup:

I will need to know your forum name, real name(s), Car model/colour/engine size and what DAY/DAYS you are coming, and if you are planning to stay at the Campsite (bringing your own tents, obviously), the Hotel or your Own Accommodation, etc. and for how many nights/days etc. ALSO if you are Camping or coming to the Meal on the Friday Night or the BBQ on the Sat nt, please let me know this also, and if you will be on your own or with a Partner/Mate, thanks.

Sounds nice, but too fare away for me. If it would be somewhere in the southern region it could be an option as I anyhow like to spend somewhere holidays in Cornwall.

It was the only weekend I could get Jim,unless we wanted earlier in June or Late July,this was the closest we could get.
Great to see you are still coming,will put you down for Camping,etc be great to see you as always.
Sure we can lay on some celebration for you mate :D :thumbsup:
 
Re Hotel booking,we pay in advance,by card,and get a discounted rate as a result,but don't do this just yet folks,until I get confirmation from the Hotel....
As mentioned,I am waiting for the Hotel to confirm next year's prices,as they are sorting this out over the next week or two,and will keep everyone posted about when you can phone the hotel to reserve your place,thanks :thumbsup:
As soon as this is done ,we can all phone them and book/pay in advance......felt like a free weekend stay this year,as I had paid last year,which was long forgotten about,lol.
Plus,with the hotels deal,it's the same as other websites,but the Hotels price includes Breakfast,which all other sites don't :D

Would be good to do another Scottish meet, my missus isn't keen on the fast drives but if we incorporate it into a Scottish holiday she could do something else on the meet day perhaps...... :)

UPDATE,HOTEL COSTS FOR 2018,For The CROOKLANDS HOTEL.

Just finalised prices with the hotel for this year,as they hadn't been back time until now with rates for 2018.

Room rates,at our discounted forum rates(aprox.10-15% discounts on Standard rates,and cheaper than Booking.com,Laterooms,from what I can see)........
Almost the same as this year,it will be

£74 PER ROOM,PER NIGHT, For A CLASSIC DOUBLE/TWIN ROOM WITH SINGLE PERSON OCCUPANCY.
£100 PER ROOM,PER NIGHT, FOR A CLASSIC ROOM WITH 2 PERSON OCCUPANCY.

£87.50 PER ROOM,PER NIGHT, FOR A DELUXE ROOM, WITH SINGLE PERSON OCCUPANCY
£113 PER ROOM PER NIGHT, FOR A DELUXE ROOM,WITH 2 PERSON OCCUPANCY.
