The Black Swan is hosting its first event of 2021. The event starts at 8.30am on Sunday 13th June 2021 and finishes at 11am.

The plan is to meet at Ockham Bites from 8am with a view of departing Ockham at 8.30am to head to the pub. If you are planning on eating, best to grab a roll from Ockham Bites. The queues in the pub can be very long!

The pub has warned of a heavy police presence and the need to respect locals.

That's great news.

I did ask them about May but they thought it might contravene the regulations in place at the time - it would have been on the 10th.

I won’t be there marshalling as I’m watching my son racing at Silverstone, would have to coincide.. The other marshals will hopefully be there. I’ll see you on the July meet and yes be wary of police including checking on social distancing as well as anti social driving.

Unbelievably busy Tony, got a few pics

We must have had more than 12 Z4s there today but had to queue to get in, so because Z4 owners are so polite they let people in from other directions meaning we weren't parked together! And a couple had gone straight to the Black Swan so were the other side of the field.

I didn't take any photos until later so by the time I got back to my car there was an interloper parked between me and Nick.
But as a 4.2 E-Type FHC was the car I'd always dreamed of owning since I was in primary school when a class-mate turned up with the latest Corgi model of one I didn't mind drooling! And while one of those will never be in budget now, I'm sure an E86 will be a better drive.

The last one was a nostalgia thing because my late Mum's first car in 1967 was a Fiat 600 in a similar colour that I remember from childhood. And probably the first car I drove around deserted car parks with my Dad when I was in my early teens - we never told Mum!

Was definitely the best turnout of zeds. A real good mix too. Didn’t take loads of pics as was just talking too much. Was good to meet some new people.

May send the Swan an invoice for my ploughing/ grass cutting service.
