East Anglian Zeds - Ready for a meet up?

Post by Stevewi » Mon May 24, 2021 4:23 pm

I'm up for anywhere in Norfolk to meet some locals. Done my first Z4 Meet in Devon on Saturday and then a mini pre Z4 Cheddar Gorge meet on the Sunday on the way home.
7.5hrs to get there, just to meet some Zeds. Was well worth it, even got sun burnt. :D :D

Food wise any is good with me. Although Arbuckles ribs are a favourite of mine.

East Anglian Zeds - Ready for a meet up?

Post by enuff_zed » Mon May 24, 2021 4:42 pm

Hi all, late to the party. Been strolling around the Cornish coast path for a week.

Stevewi, 7.5 hours! I did Perranporth to Attleborough in 6:15 on Sunday, going M5, M42, M6, A14, with two stops for the dog.
Guess you must have hit a bit of traffic?

Anyhooo, think I'm a bit booked up for a few weekends so may not be joining in just yet.

Only thing I would say about Arbuckles is that it tends to be heaving and parking there isn't the best: unless they've added more? Been a while since my last visit.

For another, future suggestion, again a bit Easterly for most though..................
Old Buckenham Country Park: only started up a couple of years back, so a work in progress, but they do themed food nights with pizza vans, hog roasts etc pitching up, they have a bar on site and plenty of room to pitch tents. Maybe something to consider for a slightly longer, possibly less sober meet?

And on a happy note.........jock156, so good to see you're back and well enough to join in.

I could be interested, especially if at Arbuckles depending on the dates. Mine will be on the road 1st July

Any fellow Zeds in the West Norfolk/Peterbrough/South Lincs area fancy meeting up on Sunday Morning for the Cars and Coffee meet at the Anglian Hotel near Holbeach. Organised by the Old Skool Cruizers.

I would have been there but I'm going to the Rutland Classic show. Need to be there by 10am so I'm back home by 1pm for a family do.

Damn it, I'd love to go to both, but have a trip planned with my son, the Zed, a tent and the peak district

Wow, what a disaster. Easy run to Oakham but sat in the queue for 35 mins to go half a mile, checked sat nav and it was another half mile to go. Long queues both ways to join next roundabout, had to be home for 1pm, so turned round and came home, via McDonald's 🙂. Nice ride out though, but should have gone to Holbeach as it turns out.

Keep watching out. I think there'll be more. Maybe short notice.
EG. I sometimes wake up early on a Sunday morning and decide to go to Southwold for breakfast. Bit late to tell anyone else though...........

Just wondering if any east region Z owners were considering the Petrolheadism Live event at Knebworth House, Stevenage… If the weather is good it’s likely to be a huge motoring indulgence. It’s not cheap. A

Hi Jock, I did think about it but got too many less interesting things to do at the moment. Let us know how get you on.
